All-Region Honors for 4 Baseball Players

Congratulations to Chris Hyatt, Clay Bates, Justin Worley and Chad Smith.  All 4 of these young men were selected All-Region for Region 3 AAAA.  Chris Hyatt was voted as Player of the Year for the region.

Chris Hyatt (Catcher) finished the regular season with a .516 Batting Average, .720 On Base Percentage, 10 doubles, 15 RBIs, and 18 Runs Scored.

Clay Bates (Pitcher/ Utility) finished with 6 wins and 0 losses as the ace of the Trojans pitching staff this season.  Bates pitched 53 innings and struck-out 56 batters.  Bates had a team-leading ERA of 1.45.

Chad Smith (3B/ Pitcher) finished the regular season with a .402 Batting Average, .462 On Base Percentage, 8 doubles, 3 triples, 4 homeruns, 25 RBIs, and 19 Runs Scored.  Smith also earned 3 victories and 1 save on the mound.  Smith struck out 31 batters in 30 innings pitched and had an ERA of 3.97.

Justin Worley (RF) finished the regular season with at .370 Batting Average and .383 On Base Percentage.  Worley drove in 7 runs and scored 6.
