Senior guard, Mason Grigg, has been chosen by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association as a Top 5 senior in 5A Classification. The 6’2” 3 year varsity letterman averaged 17.3 points per game, 3 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals a game last year while shooting 75% from the free throw line and was named an All-Region player in 5-4A last year. Mason will be honored on Thursday in Columbia by the association at 12 pm. The senior has offers from Newberry and Erskine, and is drawing interest from Coker, Cornell, North Georgia State, Roanoke, Citadel, and others. Head Coach John Bramlett says, “Mason is an extremely gifted athlete who has improved in all phases of his game and we expect another big year from him. What I am most proud about him and our other players are their high achievements in the classroom.” Mason is the son of David and Reggie Grigg and has a 9th grade sister, Darby, who also plays basketball for Northwestern.
